TEACHING DENTAL CENTER INAUGURATED NEW DENTAL MODULES IN THE CREO HEADQUARTERS

These three modules with 27 dental units will be used to expand the capacity of the dental teaching center for the benefit of the new undergraduate and postgraduate graduates.

This Thursday, the Teaching Dental Center of our university inaugurated three dental modules at the Renal and Oncology Teaching Center – CREO (acronym in Spanish) headquarters, which will begin to operate for the public as of February 5.

Our rector, Dr. Enrique Castañeda Saldaña; the academic vice-rector, Dr. Yesenia Musayón Oblitas; the general director of administration, Juan Carlos Fonseca; the dean of the Faculties of Medicine, Stomatology and Nursing, Dr. Pedro Saona Ugarte; the vice-dean of the Faculty of Stomatology, Dr. Carlos Mendiola Aquino; the director of the Dental Teaching Center, José Chávez Paz; the vice-dean of the Faculty of Stomatology, Mag. Pedro Saona Ugarte; the vice-dean of the Faculty of Stomatology, Mr. Carlos Mendiola Aquino; the director of the Dental Teaching Center, Mr. José Chávez Paz; the director of CREO, Dr. José Mendoza Zevallos, among other Heredian authorities, administrative personnel and students accompanied the ceremony.

“I would like to thank everyone involved in the planning, design and construction of these modules. Their hard work has led to the creation of exceptional facilities that reflect our commitment to excellence in dental education and care. To our students, I urge you to take full advantage of these facilities and to actively engage in your education,” said our Chancellor.

Dr. Enrique Castañeda Saldaña, together with Dr. Yesenia Musayón Oblitas, Dr. Pedro Saona Ugarte and Mag. Carlos Mendiola Aquino, cut the ribbon and inaugurated these three modules. Immediately afterwards, the guests entered the modules and learned about all the innovations they have.

“Having these three new modules will allow us to provide better service and expand our academic offerings to both undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, with the new equipment, we remain at the forefront of technology and teaching quality,” said José Chávez Paz.

CREO’s headquarters has 27 dental units fully equipped with state-of-the-art LED lamps and a scaler. It also has a tomograph, periapical X-ray equipment and a radiovisiograph.
