CAYETANO HEREDIA WELCOMED 2023 REGULAR FACULTY MEMBERS AND ACKNOWLEDGED PROMOTED PROFESSORS

The event was held in our Sum auditorium.

This Friday, January 26, in an emotional event, our university enthusiastically celebrated the arrival of the New Ordinary Professors 2023. Likewise, homage was paid to the Promoted Professors who have stood out for their dedication and contribution to academic excellence.

The ceremony was led by our Rector, Dr. Enrique Castañeda Saldaña; the Vice-Rector for Academics, Dr. Yesenia Musayón Oblitas; the Vice-Rector for Research, Dr. Carlos Cáceres Palacios; and the Director of Teaching Staff, Ms. Allison Chávez Alayo.

Dr. Hugo Salazar Jáuregui, professor emeritus of our university and former dean of the School of Psychology, was also present. Dr. Salazar shared his vast experience and knowledge during the keynote lecture entitled “Being a Heredian Teacher,” where he reflected on the values and commitments defining teaching work in this prestigious institution.

Dr. Enrique Castañeda Saldaña said: “I would like to congratulate the professors who are already part of the university. I would also like to congratulate the promoted professors. I wish them a successful career, to commit themselves to the hereditary values, and to thank the academic vice-rectorate for their efforts, ” said our rector.

Dr. Yesenia Musayón Oblitas said: “Cayetano Heredia favors selection and distinction; therefore, we are cautious about choosing the best to be part of our family. Similarly, we are demanding promotion in the teaching career. So that all our teachers, associates, and seniors, feel that they are part of a select group of teachers who go beyond what is required. However, not to capitalize on pride, vanity or arrogance, on the contrary, this select group commits to their institution to give their best because they are prepared for it.”

Dr. Enrique Castañeda Saldaña closed the ceremony with a moving speech.

Welcoming the new professors not only marks the beginning of a new stage in their professional careers, but also strengthens the university’s academic community.
