About the Environmental Engineering Degree Course
The Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia is in an excellent position to offer a high-quality and competitive professional career in Environmental Engineering. In addition, in recent years it has set itself increasingly important educational challenges.
Cayetano has a long history in research and teaching of basic sciences with emphasis on biology and environmental sciences, and today is one of the most important universities in Latin America in terms of quality criteria, academic level of its students and faculty, research activity, and scientific publications.

The scientific approach that Cayetano offers with its curriculum is key to solving complex environmental problems that require solid knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. I have been able to take courses such as Ecotoxicology and Biotechnology that have awakened my interest in the application of living organisms to solve real ecological problems, such as bioremediation of oil spills.
Likewise, Cayetano has given me the opportunity to participate in competitions such as the Impact Startup Competition and the iGEM Desgin League, the latter within the synthetic biology environment
I am confident that Cayetano is providing me with the tools to perform successfully in the area of my choice. I would like to specialize in environmental biotechnology research.
