On this occasion, Aspefam announced that interns from our university occupied first and second place, obtaining an ideal score of 17.22 and 17, respectively. As far as the top 20 is concerned, we have an outstanding presence with 11 students.

Cayetano Heredia congratulates the students for their outstanding performance and for always leaving our institution’s name high. We know the road to this success has been demanding and challenging, but their perseverance has paid off.

About the National Medical Exam

The ENAM has been applied continuously since 2003. Since 2006, taking this test has been a requirement for applying to the National Medical Residency System and currently awards points in the respective admission contest. Likewise, the grade obtained represents 70% of the grade used to distribute positions in the Marginal Urban Rural Health Service (SERUMS). Among its objectives are to evaluate the sufficiency of knowledge in basic sciences, clinical sciences, and public health attained by graduating medical students, to provide objective information to participants on their performance in the national test, and to establish a valid and objective national benchmark for the evaluation of medical knowledge.
