Learn more about the Presentation of the Research Vice-Rectorate.

Scientific research at our university is fundamental to our contribution to society and a key component of student training. Currently, we conduct 300 research projects per year, financed with national and international funds. We continue ranking first in terms of the number of scientific publications in Peru. Our research management is based on three fundamental aspects:

  1. The promotion of quality scientific research in the university community, strengthening research training, expanding the sources of funding for research, and carrying out effective management.
  2. The strengthening of internal and external communication on science and technology, and the broad dissemination of the university’s research products through research meetings, publications, and social networks.
  3. The consolidation of the mechanisms that regulate scientific research at the university, to ensure that the practice is ethical and compliant with scientific integrity principles, as well as to ensure the compliance by participants and researchers.

Our excellent position in Latin American and world rankings encourages us to continue improving constantly, always striving to develop studies with social impact that address the main global public health problems.
